The bottom right cabinet is the largest in this miter saw station and also has the least amount of drawers. The drawers themselves are just shy of 48” long, 24” front to back, and 10” deep. This is where I'll put larger items like boxes of paper towels and stuff that isn't used often like my benchtop 8” grinder. Wall brackets are made of 2×4, into L shaped bracket and is sandwitched with 1/2” triangular pieces of plywood to add strength to the brackets. Workbench is 24” deep. In the center i incorporated my miter saw with appropriate brackets to align the miter saw top with bench top on both sides.

I really enjoyed this project, although I will never again use plywood that I had left over from a previous project; I used it for the large bottom piece. It was slightly warped and caused the right side wall of the cabinet to be slightly higher than the left! Had to do a little “adjustment” on the wall height. I also decided to keep my existing Dewalt compound miter saw instead of buying the new Bosch gliding miter saw (although I did make the section holding the saw 2 1/2″ wider to accommodate the Bosch in the future).

In the center i incorporated my miter saw with appropriate brackets to align the miter saw top with bench top on both sides. The base of the miter saw station is a very simple torsion box. Torsion boxes are ways to make stiff platforms by skinning thin materials over a network of stronger ones. Cut the plywood sheet into a 32' x 8' panel and build a support structure of 2'x4's beneath it.
